It's hard to believe that our 4th Annual Luminary Night is upon us! The holiday season has a funny ways of sneaking up on us and then it's full steam ahead, so we'd love for you to Save-The-Date for this year's event, which will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 (rain date Saturday, December 15, 2018). If you are new to our neighborhood...welcome! You'll find all the information you need here on our website. And if you are a first-time participant, we are excited to begin this neighborhood tradition with you! Please join us in celebrating this holiday season by lining your property with candle luminaries! It's a great way to bring the neighborhood community together and to take a moment to slow down and breathe during the busy holiday season. The luminaries consist of a votive candle or tealight placed in 1-2 inches of sand inside a white paper bag. Participating families line the street in front of their house and if desired, their driveways and walkways, too! The luminaries are placed along the curb approximately 8-10 feet apart and everyone lights their candles at 5:30pm. We should have (weather permitting) several hours to enjoy the impressive sight with neighbors, family, and friends. We plan to purchase all luminaria from the local hardware store or wholesaler. We are estimating the cost of each luminary kit to approx $0.50 per kit. (Each kit includes: 1 votive, 1 white paper bag, and sand for each bag). Each individual household is responsible for their payment. Determining how many luminaria kits you will need is totally up to you. Check back for more details soon. Need to reach us? Click here. Your Red Hill Neighbors, Devin and Carlos Almonte Thank you all for your generosity this year!
We collected $643 for the Police Dept and $680 for the Fire Dept. THANK YOU!!!!! They are forever grateful for considering them in your giving and being a true neighbor to them. The money raised for the police dept will continue to support the need for new infrared cameras and the fire dept donations will support general department needs. Have a happy, healthy, and safe New Year! Devin and Carlos Almonte |
